Shaundasia T. Smith was a rising student at Anson New Tech in Wadesboro, NC with aspirations to attend college to study Architectural Engineering when she was murdered in what was thought to be a safe environment, a friends house. She was a very outgoing person, she loved her volleyball team always encouraging her teammates to persevere and to do their best. Not only was she a leader that other students looked up to, but she also touched the lives of all who knew her in a positive way. She wanted to help others anyway she could.

Shaundasia departed this life on March 29, 2015 after being shot in the head while attending a sleepover at a friend's house. If it wasn't apparent that her passing affected everyone who knew her, it became clear from the outpouring of support, prayers, phone calls, thoughts and gifts after her untimely passing. She received all that she tried to give during her short time on earth.
